About IIAS Advanced Schools:

The IIAS is dedicated to promoting and supporting advanced research in the natural sciences, humanities, and social sciences. The Institute’s main focus is to provide a stimulating and supportive environment for researchers to engage in advanced study and research.

One of the key programs offered by the IIAS is the Advanced Schools program. The Advanced Schools program is a series of intensive, multi-disciplinary workshops that bring together leading researchers from around the world to discuss and explore cutting-edge topics in a variety of fields. These workshops are typically one to two weeks in duration and are organized around a specific theme or topic.

The Advanced Schools program is open to graduate students, postdoctoral researchers, and established academics from around the world. The program provides a unique opportunity for participants to learn from leading experts in their field, to engage in dialogue and exchange ideas with their peers, and to develop new collaborations and networks.

The Advanced Schools program covers a wide range of fields including mathematics, physics, computer science, life sciences, social sciences, history, archaeology and many more. The program has been held for many years, and it has attracted many renowned researchers and scholars from all over the world.

The IIAS’s Advanced Schools program is highly competitive and selective, with a limited number of spots available for each session. The institute provides accommodation and meals for participants, and in some cases, also covers travel expenses.

Award-winning international scholars, including Nobel Laureates, lead the Schools as their General Directors. Participants learn about the latest advances in their disciplines, are mentored by leaders in their fields, and establish professional networks.

The Advanced Schools have created some of the longest standing traditions and greatest sources of pride at the IIAS.
