Manfred Krifka

Manfred is a professor in the Department of Linguistics at University of Texas at Austin. His research interests are: semantics of natural languages and its relation to syntactic structure and pragmatic principles of conversation; aspectual classes and their relation to the count noun/mass noun distinction, generic sentences, negative polarity expressions, quantification, plurality, presuppositions, implicatures and the role of focus and intonation.
