Rafi is a professor in the Department of Arabic Language and Literature at the University of Haifa. His research interests are: Arabic linguistics; the relations between Arabic grammatical thinking and other Islamic sciences, especially philosophy; Qur’anic syntax; Arabic dialectology, especially Palestinian dialects.
