Brouria Bitton-Ashkelony is Associate Professor in the Department of Comparative Religion at The Hebrew University of Jerusalem. Her research interests are religious thought and behavior in Late Antique and Byzantine Christianity, pilgrimage, monastic culture and mysticism and prayer in Greek and Syriac Literature.
