Special Programs at the IIAS

Beyond its core activities of hosting research groups and individual fellows, the Israel Institute for Advanced Studies is home to several special programs that reflect its broader commitment to academic excellence, innovation, and societal impact.

These programs are designed to support outstanding researchers at various stages of their careers, foster international and interdisciplinary collaboration, and encourage bold thinking on pressing scientific and social challenges.

Our special programs include the Michael Bruno Memorial Award, honoring promising Israeli scholars; the Intercontinental Academia, an initiative of the UBIAS network aimed at fostering global dialogue among early-career researchers; and the Constructive Advanced Thinking (CAT) Programme, which supports research teams tackling complex societal issues through international collaboration.
