Daniel is a professor in the Department of Jewish History at The Hebrew University of Jerusalem. His research interests are: Jewish history and historiography of the Second Temple period; history of Judaism and the impact of Hellenism; priestly Judaism and early Christianity. Completing annotated translation of Second Book of Maccabees.
